Rotary vane pump
The standard rotary vane pump consists of three major components: the rotor, the liner, and several vanes. The liner encases both the rotor and the vanes, which slide into designated slots in the rotor itself. When the rotor spins, the vanes are forced outward, creating a seal between the rotor and the surrounding liner. This forms a partial vacuum which helps draw gases in through the intake valve of the vane pump and forces them out through the outtake valve, located on the opposite side of the rotor.
