Why do you need a rotary piston pump?
For more rugged pump applications, a rotary piston pump is often recommended. In a rotary piston pump, the piston is attached to a cam mounted on the pump cylinder. The cycle begins when the cam device rotates, increasing the volume between the piston and the cylinder. Gas is channeled through the piston into the cylinder until the chamber is full. As the cam completes its rotation, the intake valve is closed and the gas is pushed out through the exhaust valve. Then the cycle repeats itself.
There are several advantages to using a piston pump in your operations, particularly if you are in the automotive or aerospace industries. Because of the balanced configuration of the pump, there is virtually no vibration. The piston pump is perfect for several different materials, including those with particularly small particles. Plus the design itself is very hardy and promotes a long life.
