Dry Pumps
pumps & equipment library > Dry Pumps
The dry pump has no lubrication in the gas stream. Any chemical lubricants are isolated from the gas stream by seals which prevent back streaming of lubricants that may occur with “wet pumps.” These types of vacuum pumps are the pump of choice in applications where back streaming of oil is of a big concern.
A dry pump controller typically acts as an interface to a production tool. Key dry pump operational parameters are monitored by the controller and relays the information to the tool. On off control signals, as well as alarm conditions are a function of the pumps controller. The control is a central module for the operator of dry pump systems.
